OOTD: mommy uniform neutrals on neutrals

This outfit has been my uniform as of late. Being a new mama I have found lately I'm generally trying to keep sane with everything going on that I've gravitated towards easy pieces I can just throw on and still look pulled together. Pro tip: white hides spit- up like a dream. Additionally, the larger the sweater the more spit-up you can hide. I look calm, cool and collected, don't I? Courtesy of oversized sweater and colors that blend well with spit-up. You'd never know that behind that sweater there are more stained spots than not. So for days like these it's good to have a uniform with minimal thought and effort. What's your uniform lately?

OOTD: TGIF

Hey Guys!
This week has been a long one for this mama, my little 3 month old is experiencing some sleep regression so this mama has been getting up multiple times a night and the fatigue is definitely setting in. Yesterday I was making lasanga for super and after we had eaten I went to put everything away and a little while later my husband wandered into the kitchen and found that I had put the leftovers in the cubbord instead of the fridge and then I proceeded to laugh at that for a good 15 minutes past what it may have warrented. The struggle and exhaustion is real.

Review of Covergirl stay fabulous foundation and wear test

Hello Hello!
Happy friday eve to you guys! I hope this post finds you all well. I am going to do another #makeupreview, forget I just tried to use a hashtag there #whatami13 #imsoembarressed, makeup review for you. Today it is going to be a review on one of my all time favorite foundations, covergirl stay fabulous 3 in 1. After a short hiatus from this little fella I am so glad he is back in my life. You know when you stop using a product because you were distracted by a newer shiner product and then you make your way back to it and you feel like you have to apologize to it for wasting both of your time by not using it. Anyone? No? Just me then. That is where I am right now. I feel bad for forgetting how great he is; well, fret no longer mr. stayfabulous for I am back to stay (at least until I get distracted again).

Here I am bright and early at 6 AM. Foundation has been on for about 30 minutes at this point. Eyebrow pucker is for your viewing pleasure only no actual message is trying to be conveyed.

I use the shade 842 natural beige (Im pretty sure that is what its called may have made that up, but I am sure on the number!).

This little guy was taken at 10 AM 4 hours into wear, no shinnyness yet, and coverage still great.

This was taken at noon 6 hours into wear and we are seeing a little shine peak through on my forehead. No powder was used as touch up for this demonstration. But you could certainly add some powder at this point if you are.

And finally the last photo is at quitting time 6pm shinnyness noted on my cheeckers forehead and minimal breakdown on the bridge of my nose.

Overall I give this product two thumbs way up. It holds up really well and if you dont have time to powder throughout the day you arn't going to look like a grease monster. It usually doesn't break down on my but this day I must have been rubbing the bridge of my nose more than ususal because I do have some breakdown that is about the extent of the breakdown if I have it and really its not the products fault its my greasy hands fault. I would highly reccommend this little guy if you are looking for a medium to light coverage foundation that doesn't look super matte and stays put all day and helps with shine control

Thanks for stopping by hope to see you again!

OOTD: mixing patterns

Hey friends!
Welcome (back to some of you) to my little piece of the blogosphere. It has been raining in my neck of the woods for a few days now so I thought I would give you a little weekend wear post today. I wore this outfit out on a hot date with my two fellas (don't worry one's my 3 month old son!). It was great and little man did so well at the resturant he was either sleeping or super happy and smily stealing the show. He gets the biggest grin on his face when people talk to him its just the best sight in the world I'll post some pics of it tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll let you get to the outfit pictures, thanks for stopping by and come back soon!

OOTD: Stripes on Stripes on Stripes!

Hey Guys! I found this skirt a couple of years ago in target and I loved it then and wore the b-jeezes out of it with a couple of outfit ideas, but I now think of it as a neutral because I mean really what doesn't go with stripes. Solids? yes. Patterns? yes. Other Stripes? yes. Florals? yes. Sweaters? yes!

TBT Maternity pictures

Hey Guys!
Today I thought I would do a little tbt action and post some of our maternity pictures that were taken this last winter. I had them done when I was about 32 weeks along. At the time I thought this would be perfect because I didn't want to be super huge and I still wanted to feel pretty. I wasnt too sure I would still feel like being photographed if I waited another couple of weeks. However, looking back I wish I would have done them at about 36 weeks because at 32 weeks, with it being my first pregnancy, I still wasnt really popping and that is kind of the point of maternity photos. But o'well you live and learn right? Right! :) and really maternity photos are great to have and remember such a special time in your life, but in my case they all got replaced in the picture frames once Parker got here so no real love lost.

The inside ones were done at my mother-in-laws, we were planning to do them outside on the farm but it was so cold outside that day we really could only stand to be outside for a few minutes so Jill Vanderveen our photographer did a great job improvising by getting these indoor shots!

Newborn Pictures

Hey Guys! Today I thought I would share some of Parker's newborn photos that we had done at our home. I can't believe its been 3+ months since these were taken. We had photographer Jill Vanderveen come and take these and she was so sweet and did such great work it was an amazing experience. It really made the experience very special to do these at our home, and since Parker was only a few days old it was nice to not have to pack up and take him somewhere especially for us new parents who were terrified at the time of having to leave our house with him :).

we got some cute candids as well, like this one when little man needed a snack break and dad could give him a bottle real quick.

This one is one of my favorites as it is taken infront of where I have my wedding dress displayed. I decided to use it as decoration in our room, instead of boxing it up for years and not being able to enjoy it. Sure it might not preserve as well but really what am I going to do with it, wear it again, well yes and it will be a whole lot easier to do if its not in a box somewhere :). But you do you boo if you want to save yours and keep yours nice I totally support that I just enjoy seeing mine everyday.

It's crazy how fast they become your whole world.

I thank God everyday that he chose me to be Parker's mama. I am sure I did nothing to recieve such an incredible blessing and I feel so fortunate for every day, hour, minute and second that I get to spend with him.
