TBT Maternity pictures

Hey Guys!

Today I thought I would do a little tbt action and post some of our maternity pictures that were taken this last winter. I had them done when I was about 32 weeks along. At the time I thought this would be perfect because I didn't want to be super huge and I still wanted to feel pretty. I wasnt too sure I would still feel like being photographed if I waited another couple of weeks. However, looking back I wish I would have done them at about 36 weeks because at 32 weeks, with it being my first pregnancy, I still wasnt really popping and that is kind of the point of maternity photos. But o'well you live and learn right? Right! :) and really maternity photos are great to have and remember such a special time in your life, but in my case they all got replaced in the picture frames once Parker got here so no real love lost.

 

The inside ones were done at my mother-in-laws, we were planning to do them outside on the farm but it was so cold outside that day we really could only stand to be outside for a few minutes so Jill Vanderveen our photographer did a great job improvising by getting these indoor shots!

OOTD: ten year class reunion

Hey Guys!

Happy Sunday! I thought today I would give you the breakdown of what I wore to my husband's 10 year class reunion. This was a bit of a challenge for me because I have never been to a class reunion before so I wasn't quite sure what to wear. So I did what any level headed lady would do I perused pinterest like it was my job until I found an outfit idea I liked and let that inspire me to do some shopping, and low in behold the picture that inspired me had me shopping in my own closet (gasp! I know I didn't even know you could do that :) ) I kid that is what I mostly use pinterest for to help me style the clothes I own. This is proof enough for me that I am not a shopaholic as many (aka my husband) might suggest because I really do enjoy shopping my own stash! Anyway I decided to try a little pattern mixing and I went with this skirt, top and sandals. 

This outfit was just enough dressed up that I knew I wouldn't feel too out of place if everyone else was really dressed up, and if everyone was casual then I felt the sandals made it feel more casual it was truly a win win in my book. I bought the skirt and dress from different stores but they look like they were made for each other, the navy's match perfectly! 

It ended up being perfect because people showed up in all sorts of attire, and I felt comfortable because of the sandals yet put together which is pretty much my style goals to a T!

A case of the Mondays

Hey Guys!

Hope you had all had a great weekend! I wanted to do a quick weekend recap for you all. It was my husband’s 10 year class reunion at our home town, and oh my did we have a good time. It was so great to see old friends. Some whom we have not seen in years, and spend a night out on the town (thanks to nana daycare!). One of the best parts of the evening was flipping through old yearbooks and laughing about how much we had all changed (thankfully!), how is it possible that 10 years has already gone by!?

A quick family photo before mommy and daddy went out for the night (outfit post to come). This little boy is the happiest and the smiliest little boy until you put a camera infront of him and then he immediately stops! Oh well someday will get a good one for now you can still appreciate his cuteness with the look on his face!

Enjoying the front porch heat with a little diaper nap on nana's lap. Everytime he is in his diaper I am reminded how much he has grown, its crazy now to think back to him as a 7 pounder!

After spending the night away from him (only a couple hours actually, lets not be that dramatic) I was so excited to have him back in my arms!

 We ended the weekend by having a nice quiet sunday night at home with our little family. I may or may not have watched bachelor in paradise, I'll never tell. Until I post about it next week.

Lastly we got ready for bed and assumed our favorite sleeping postion of sleeping on daddy until it is actual bed time! That little face though! I can't help but thank God for picking me to be his mommy and I am reminded of what a beautiful life this life is! Thanks for stopping by and please come back soon!

What I wore Wednesday

 So we meet again, it was nice of you to stop by! Can you believe I have posted three days in a row this is a record not to toot my own horn but ya know toot toot.  I am a big fan of Wednesdays you see they are my 5^th favorite day of the week. I’ll revel my other favorites to you later (nothing like a little suspense to keep you coming back for more) ;). So today I was feeling the mostly all white vibe with blush tones I just love this color scheme it makes me feel oh so summery and the rule of thumb in this part of the country is embrace the summeryness (that’s a word ok!?) while you can because it is fast and fleeting and I follow all the rules, whether I make them up or not. The Bachelorette Finale Recap and OOTD

Hey guys!

Happy Tuesday! Did anyone catch the bachelorette last night!? I know, I know it’s so staged, and none of the relationships ever work out (except in 2 ½ of the couples; Jason and molly only get a half because he technically didn’t pick her) but I just enjoy watching it! I don’t know it’s just funny and entertaining and I am not required to think for those two hours which let’s be honest can sometimes be welcome after a Monday back at the office. Anywho, the Shawn thing was a giveaway from the begining, bets on how long they'll last? I give them at least until the next bachelor errs. And as for Nick well he is a pro at this getting dumped on the last day so maybe he should think about writing a book and titling it “I made it to the end twice and no one still wants me, but I’ll probably be back next season”. Ah I kid I’m sure he’s a nice guy if you just forget the whole kissing and telling that he did on Andi. I leave this subject with one final question for you who will be bachelor next do you think? I am really pulling for Nick maybe then they’ll get him to stop joining the bachelorette not to mention can you imagine the type of people they would get to try to date him now that would make some ENTERTAINMENT!... On to the real reason you’re here the clothes! Alright here is what I wore yesterday I decided to try some mirror shots instead of the selfie stick so let me know which you guys like better. OOTD: I'm BAACK!

I'm not even going to bother apologizing for my absence because I'm sure you don't want to hear it and honestly I've just been super busy blah blah blah..
