November Favorites

Hey Guys!
And we’re back and today I have my November favorites for you. This is exciting for a couple of reasons; 1. its favorite’s time which is my favorite posts of the month both to read and to write 2. That means DECEMBER is here. Let me tell you a little known fact about myself, I don’t like the holidays. I stinking love them! I mean were talking put the Christmas tree up well before thanksgiving is over , Christmas music 24/7, candle burning, Hallmark Christmas movie watching , ABC family 25 days of Christmas enthusiast kind of girl! You name it I love it in regards to Christmas.  And this year is just amplified for me because of Parker bear, and his first Christmas! So I just love the fact that December is finally here!

Any who onto the favorites.
First up is a cult favorite the Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Lolita. This little friend is amazing it dries to a matte finish that is comfortable on the lips and lasts all stinking day. She is a little pricey put I feel like it’s money well spent because you can just put her on and go about your day and not have to worry about her smudging or fading. I wear a little lip liner underneath with her but you definitely don’t have to!

Next up is a tired girl’s best friend this holiday season, you know when you were up to late with one too many eggnogs, wrapping Christmas gifts, and watching cheesy holiday movies kind of night. This little product will be your best friend. It covers dark circles like a dream and it doesn’t crease or make that area look too cakey or dry like other concealers can. This has been a tried and true product in my make-up bag for years and I have tried the more expensive versions but I always come back to this old friend.

This lipstick is called 1995 and it is seriously one of my favorite lipsticks that I own. It was developed by a beautyblogger and I love supporting them! It is pigmented but not overly so. It is matte but not drying it’s neutral and can go with pretty much any eye look I rock it day and night and it’s one that is always in my purse so I have it on hand whenever I want to throw it on and go.

Last makeup product this month is this Tarte blush pallet. When I went home for thanksgiving this is the only pallet that I brought with me and if you know me, that is saying something because I love my blushes and I love my options but I felt like I had everything that I needed with this pallet which is super convient for traveling just throw this pallet in your bag and know you are taken care of for the trip!

I wanted to throw in a few baby favorites this month. First off this jump and play bouncer is from target, and Parker has been playing in this nonstop since he could sit up, but this month he has really figured out how to bounce and he just loves it! And I love that he is entertained and having fun and it gives me a few minutes to make super, throw a load of laundry in or just go to the bathroom in peace (and we all know how valuable that is!)

Lastly are these Zutano booties. These were first given to us as a gift and the mama who gave them to me said their great baby won’t be able to kick them off and not only was that true but they are super cute and look like little booties on so I have pretty much bought or wanted to buy them in every color. I get them on Amazon.

September Monthly Favorites

Hey Guys!
Today I wanted to talk about the products I have been loving for September. So lets get right to the good stuffs.

First up on the list is this lorac pro palette. This is the original and I have had this guy for a few years and with my wandering eye, that I have mentioned before, I forget about him quite frequently. But, he always has me coming back and wondering why I ever deserted him!? Too dramatic for a tuesday? Never.

This palette is perfect for any look you want to create. ALL the shades are super pigmented and bleandable and it has a row of shimmers and a row of mattes that you can create any look with. I think he is definitely worth they buy and the try (see what I did there).

Next up we have my foundation of choice this month which is again this wonderful covergirl 3 in 1. This is like a dream it has great coverage (but not cakey) it lasts all day and it keeps me mattish looking which is my desired effect. I prefer to be mattish instead of totally matte looking but I'm sure with powder it could keep you fully matte as well. If your in the mood to try a new foundation I unabondonely (that's a word, I'm almost sure of it) give this one two thumbs way up.

Now on to everyone's my favorite part of favorites the lips! I have two shades of the same dog (dog is code for lipstick in south dakota, google it) for you this month. They are both liquid lipsticks of sorts and they last for stinking ever and are wonderful no fuss colors. The first one is a great any occassion lip it's called marvelous mauve and I wear it all the time!

This one is a deeper more fall looking lip color that I absolutely love it is called blackberry sorbet and it is a great dupe for dose of colors berry me. I love love love it and I bet you will too.

Marvelous Mauve and Blackberry Sorbet are right next to eachother fourth and fifth from the left on the top row. I also swatched the rest of the collection for you incase you wanted to see what other colors they have available in these matte liquid lipsticks.

Sorry I was so MIA last week we were traveling and blah blah blah I got busy and I suck. Forgive me?

What about now that I have posted this cute picture of my baby? yes. ok thanks friends. See you back here this same time tomorrow for another post! I promise.

August Beauty Favorites

Hey Guys!

It's that time of the month again time for Monthly Beauty Favorites (insert comment about how quickly this month has gone). Lets get right into the good stuffs.

First off I wanted to mention the foundation that I have still been using this month and it is my old friend stay fabulous 3 in 1. He is just a good reliable guy you can put on in the morning and know that he'll still be there for you at the end of the day with little or no touch ups! I use shade 841.

Next up we have my tride and true spot concealer who also is a stand up guy because he stays put the whole day and does a good job blending in with whatever foundation I choose for the day. I set him with some translucent powder and dont have to think about him the rest of the day. My kind of low maintenence man!

Now on to the real stars of the show, my favorite eye shadow of the month, in the spotlight pun notintended. This is the most amazing eyeshadow I have every had the pleasure of knowing. He's from makeup geek the foiled eyeshadow line, and let me tell you this little man does it all! You can wear it by himself and it looks amazing, wear it on top of any color to add an extra pop and sparkle, or wear it underneath for a different shade effect.

This Maybelline matte lipstick in touch of spice has been my go to this month and is pretty much what I am wearing in all of my OOTD's. I love this formula for matte lipsticks! It is perfectly matte yet really creamy and comfortable on the lips. In fact I even use this as a chapstick if my lips are dry, I can just put this on to mouisturize them with no flakiness or cracking! The shade is very similar to the famous mac spice lip liner. So if your looking for a cheaper version I'd give him a try!

Lastly, this little lippy stick from color pop cosmetics has been another favorite for me. If I am not wearing touch of spice you can bet its because I'm wearing this little guy.  Lumiere is his name and he is a matte shade and is also very creamy. As you can see he is a beautiful rosy shade and is perfect for everyday looks or as a compliment to night out make up, and at the 5 dollar price point you can't go wrong!

Thanks for stopping by!

July Beauty Favorites

Heyo!

Ok, so for today's post I wanted to talk about my favorite beauty products for July. These are the standout makeup products that I have been loving this past month and have used almost everyday without fail that I wanted to tell you about in case you are in the mood to try out some new beauty products!

Here I am pictured using all of the products. This picture was at the end of the day I got ready this day at 7 am and picture was taken at about 6pm.

This foundation has been my absolute go-to this summer! I have been wearing it everyday, its really light weight and you can't feel it at all which is great for the summer, and it doesn't look like you have a tone of makeup on. It gives you just the right amount of coverage for summer and really, lets be honest here, any time. The best part is you put it on in the morning go to work or about your day, and its still holding strong 9+ hours later looking great! I will do a full review on this coming up, but so far it has been the only thing I have been using for foundation the past month and dare I say it maybe a new holy grail for me.

This is the setting powder I have been using this month. Its Nyx Stay Matte but not Flat, powder foundation, and I love it for just that, it mattifies without giving you that really flat powdery look! It does a good job of keeping your foundation and concealer in place all day without getting too shiny in the summer heat. Its also great for touch ups throughout the day without getting cakeface from piling on the makeup :).

This has been my go to concealer for spot correction and extra coverage areas the past several months, and like the products before it, it does a great job of lasting the whole day and holding up in the humidity!

This Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer is an amhazingg under eye concealer I cannot say enough about it is just phenomenal in my book. It covers up dark circles like a dream (or really like the dreams you missed out on having due to late nights and early mornings or just because its Monday, Tuesday Wednesday etc. :) ). It does not crease or settle into fine lines and because of that rarity I think its worth every (sort of) expensive penny.

This little guy here has been my highlight of choice this month and considering he's from physician's formula (available at any drug store!) he is very affordable. This color is in translucent pearl and gives the perfect "summer glow" or even "fall glow" or possibly even a "winter glow" if your into that sort of thing :). You can add him to your cheekers, lippers, eyes and wherever else you fancy putting him for a little shine and glow!

Almost to the end here, this loreal mascara has been the best thing for me since, well all the other makeup I previously listed :). I use this on my bottom lashes and it is phenomenal at its job of making my lashes black and look longer without getting on my under eye area. Which is the real reason why I love him you see any mascara who stays where they are supposed to be, on my bottom lashes, is a friend of mine and will get honorable mention whenever I mention such things!

And for the real show stopper I give you this benefit mascara, which is a mystery unto itself you see with this little guy you can just throw out your eyelash curler and save yourself a few precious moments in the morning. Because of some innovation with his brush that I don't understand the wand actually curls your lashes as you apply the mascara! I know crazy you can thank me later for the few extra moments every morning you get to sleep in, play with your kiddos, or eat your breakfast. Your welcome. No compensation necessary :).
